General Advisory
- Sprays/Nutrient application should be avoided on the days which is raining. Monitor fields regularly and take precaution for pest & diseases and remove diseased leaves to reduce spread. Adopt organic mulching like straw, dry leaves, bark, sawdust, etc. to your vegetable crops in order to increase the soil nutrients, maintain the optimum soil temperature and also to protect from frost, and also apply light irrigation. Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and lightning can cause direct damage to crops such as breaking or uprooting plants, especially those with weak stems or shallow roots. Strong winds from squalls can cause crops like tall plants to bend or fall, making them harder to harvest and more infected to disease.
