Agromet advisories for Andhra Pradesh are issued by the state agriculture department in collaboration with ICAR district agro-meteorological units. They are released weekly or bi-weekly and cover crop-wise pest, disease and weather-based recommendations.

Andhra Pradesh agromet advisories cover the major crops grown in each district — typically including cereals (rice, wheat, maize), pulses, oilseeds, vegetables and horticulture crops. Advisories are crop-specific and tailored to the current growth stage and weather forecast.

Agromet advisories combine weather forecasts with crop-specific recommendations — when to irrigate, when to spray, which pest pressure to expect and how to manage it. Following these advisories helps farmers reduce input costs and improve yield predictability during uncertain weather.
