Animal husbandry

  • During the rainy season, animal feeding should be properly planned and animal feed should be clean and dry.
  • Goats should be given deworming medicine as per advice of a veterinary doctor.

Soybean

Leaf eating caterpillar

  • Precaution should be taken so that water may not stagnate in soybean crop.
  • Remove the excess amount of water from field.
  • If infestation of leaf eating catter piller & stem borer may observed in soybean crop, For management take a spray of any one chemical as given below Profenofos 50% @ 400 ml or Ethion 50% @ 600 ml or Thimethoxam 12.6% + Lambda Cyhalothrin 9.5% @ 50 ml or if incidence is more take a spray of Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% @ 60 ml per acre during clear weather condition.

Micronutrient deficiency

  • If yellow leaf observed in soybean crop due to micronutrient deficiency for management take a spray of EDTA Chilated mix Micronutrients grade-2 @ 50 g or 50 ml with 19:19:19 @ 100 g per 10 liter of water during clear weather condition.

Yellow mosaic virus

  • If infection of yellow mosaic observed in soybean crop for management, Remove and destroy yellow mosaic infected plants.
  • For management yellow mosaic in soybean crop, take a spray of Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda Cyhalothrin 9.6% ZC @ 50 ml or Acetamiprid 25% + Bifenthrin 25% WG @ 100 g or Beta-Cyfluthrin 8.49% + Imidacloprid 19.81% OD @ 140 ml per acre during clear weather condition.

Sorghum

Fall Army Worm

  • Precaution should be taken so that water may not stagnate in kharif sorghum crop.
  • Remove the excess amount of water from field.
  • For management of fall armyworm in kharif sorghumcrop take a spray of Emamectine Benzoate 5 % @ 4 g or Spinetoram 11.7 SC @ 4 ml per 10 liter of water during clear weather condition.

Flag leaf

  • As per requirement & availability of water irrigation management should be done in Kharif Sorghum crop.
  • If water stress is observed in Kharif sorghum crop take a spray of 1% (100 gm/10liter of water) Potassium nitrate (13:00:45).

Pearl Millet

  • Intercultural operations should be done for weed management in Pearl millet crop.
  • If water stress is observed in Kharif sorghum crop take a spray of 1% (100 gm/10liter of water) Potassium nitrate (13:00:45).

Sugarcane

Payrila

  • As per requirement irrigation management should be done in sugarcane crop. Infestation of the 'Payrila' (moth) pest is being observed in the sugarcane crop.
  • To monitor the pest and to trap and destroy large numbers of adult moths, a light trap should be installed at a height of six inches above the crop canopy at a ratio of one trap per five acres and operated between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
  • For management, take a spray of Chlorpyrifos 20% @ 600 ml of per acre during clear weather condition.

White Fly

  • If infestation of white fly may observed in sugarcane crop, for management take a spray of Imidachlopride 17.8% @ 60 ml or Asifate 75% @ 400 g per acre during clear weather condition.
  • If necessary, a second spray should be applied after 10 days. However, if the population of beneficial insects is high, avoid an unnecessary second spray.
  • Do not repeatedly spray the same insecticide; instead, rotate insecticides with different modes of action to prevent the development of insecticide resistance.

Turmeric

Rhizome fly

  • Precaution should be taken so that water may not stagnate in turmeric crop.
  • Remove the excess amount of water from field. For management of Rhizome fly in turmeric take a spray of Quinalphos 25 % @ 20 ml or Diamethoate 30 % @ 10 ml per 10 liter of water with an interval of 15 days during clear weather condition. (As label claim was not given by Central Insecticides Board for Rhizome fly in turmeric the research recommendation of university is mentioned here).
  • Intercultural operations should be done for weed management in turmeric crop during wapsa condition.

Growth stage

  • As per requirement irrigation management should be doen in turmeric crop.
  • Intercultural operations should be done for weed control in turmeric crop.
  • Apply N @ 25 Kg with 00:52:34 @ 15.5 Kg per acre through drip irrigation split in 3-4 times after 60 days of cultivation of turmeric crop.

Leaf spot

  • If infestation of leaf spot (blight) disease observed in turmeric crop, collect the infected leaves periodically and destroy them outside the field, and keep the field clean.
  • For disease management, take a spray of Carbendazim 50% @ 400 g, Mancozeb 75% @ 500 g or Copper Oxychloride 50% @ 500 g adding a good-quality sticker to the spray solution.
  • If the disease incidence is severe, take a spray of Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% @ 200 ml or Propiconazole 25% @ 200 ml or Chlorothalonil 75% @ 500 g/acre, along with a sticker.

Rhizome Rot

  • For the management of rhizome rot disease in turmeric, as a preventive measure, apply Trichoderma @ 2 to 2.5 kg per acre, mixed with well-decomposed farmyard manure, to the soil. If rhizome rot disease is observed, apply any one of the following fungicides drenching should be done : Carbendazim 50% @ 1 g or Mancozeb 75% @ 3 g or Copper Oxychloride 50% @ 5 g per liter of water. (Ensure adequate soil moisture while applying the drench.
  • Do not irrigate the field for 2 to 3 days after application)

Citrus

Flowering to Fruit Initiation

  • Citrus orchard at flowering to fruit initiation stage Precaution should be taken so that water stress may not occur in orchard.
  • To prevent the incidence of insect pests and diseases in citrus orchards, for management take a spray of insecticide and fungicide during clear weather condition. Intercultural operations should be done for weed management in Citrus orchard.
