Livestock

COW

  • Ensure sufficient feed and medication for livestock to last through prevailing intermittent disruption.
  • Undertake maintenance and repair of animal shelter and water points.
  • Also ensure proper care and management of livestock during rainy season.
  • External and Internal parasite cases increase in rainy season so take care of it with consulting the veterinary doctor.

CHICKEN

  • During summer season, enrichment of poultry feed with vitamin “C” and “E” is advisable.

Green Gram

Irrigation

  • In all irrigated areas apply need base light irrigation to green gram crops.
  • Avoid inter culture operation during flowering stage as root nodules would be disturb and affect flowering stage.

Cotton

Aphids / Jassids

  • To manage early stage incidence of aphids / jassids undertake application of 5% neem extract OR azadirachtin 0.03% (300 ppm) @ 50 ml per 10 liters of water.
  • To control above ETL infestation of aphids and jassids (10 aphids, 2-3 jassids per leaf), undertake spray of Azadirachtin 1500 ppm @ 25 ml OR Azadirachtin 0.03% (300 ppm) @ 50 ml OR imidacloprid 17.8% SL 2.5 ml.
  • Undertake inter culture operation (weeding / hoeing) should be undertake in clear weather condition.

Pink bollworm

  • To manage the initial incidence of pink boll worm in earlier sown cotton at flowering stage.
  • Undertake spray of 5% NSKE OR biopesticide Metarhizium anisopliae powder @ 30 g per 10 liters of water.

Soybean

Flower initiation

  • In all irrigated areas apply need base light irrigation to soybean crops.
  • In very late sown soybean crop, Opening of conservation furrows is advisable at 30 days stage after every three rows of soybean at hoeing by tying rope to hoe tine.

Stem fly

  • For surveillance of pest incidence erect 4 to 5 phermone traps/ha in field..
  • In areas where infestation of stem fly is reported , for monitoring the incidence of stem fly erect yellow sticky trap @ 4 to 5 per acre.
  • For management of stem fly incidence remove and destroy damaged plant parts.
  • For above ETL level incidence (about 10% damaged plants), during clear weather undertake spray of chlorantraniliprole 18.5% @ 3 ml per 10 liters of water, which will also control defoliators.

Leaf eating caterpillar

  • To manage the initial incidence of leaf eating caterpillar spraying of Azadiractin 300 ppm @ 50 ml per 10 liters of water is advisable.

Pigeon Pea

Weed Control

  • In all irrigated areas apply need base light irrigation to pigeon pea crops.
  • In timely sown and late sown pigeon pea crop undertake inter culture operation (weeding / hoeing) during clear weather for management of weeds and improved soil aeration.

Fruit crops

Fertilizer Management

  • In all irrigated areas apply need base light irrigation to newly planted fruit crops.
  • In mandarin orange (Ambia bahar) spray of 1.5 g Gibberellic acid + 1 kg Urea + 100 gm Carbendazim 50% WP per 100 liters of water is advisable to reduce fruit drop problem of small sized fruits.

Sorghum

Weed Control

  • In all irrigated areas apply light irrigation to sorghum crops.
  • In sorghum crop undertake inter culture operation (weeding/hoeing) under vapsa condition.

Maize

Fall Army Worm

  • Apply top dressing of nitrogen fertilizer @ 40 kg N/ha to 25-30 days old maize crop with hoeing during clear weather.
  • For monitoring of maize army worm (Spodoptera frugiperda) Install pheromone traps @ 5/acre and as the intensity of infestation increases for mass trapping increase number of pheromone traps.
  • At the initiation of infestation (5% plant damage) undertake mechanical picking of egg larvae masses and its destruction regularly.
  • At the initial stage of infestation (5% plant damage) undertake spray of Azadirachtin 1500 ppm @ 50 ml OR 5% NSKE per 10 liters of water during morning or evening hours directed towards whorl (funnel) during clear weather.
  • At the initial stage of infestation (5% plant damage) undertake spray of Azadirachtin 1500 ppm @ 50 ml OR 5% NSKE OR biopesticide Metarhizium anisopliae powder @ 50g OR Nomurea rileyi @30 g per 10 liters of water during morning or evening hours directed towards whorl (funnel).
  • For above ETL infestation (10% and more plant damage) undertake application of Spinetoram 11.7% @ 9 ml OR Thiomethoxam (12.6%) + Lambda cyhalothrin (9.5%) ZC @ 5 ml OR Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC @ 3 ml per 10 liters of water during morning or evening hours directed towards whorl (funnel).

Black Gram

Irrigation

  • In all irrigated areas apply need base light irrigation to Black gram crops.
  • Avoid inter culture operation during flowering stage as root nodules would be disturb and affect flowering stage.

Vegetable

Transplanting

  • Undertake nursery seed sowing of vegetables like chilli, tomato and brinjal for kharif transplanting.
  • Seed treatment with bio-fungicide Trichoderma is advisable.
  • Before transplanting chilli seedlings, dip the tops of the seedlings in a solution of 10 ml of Dimethoate 30% + 3 g of water-soluble sulphur (80%) + 2.5 g of Mancozeb in one liter of water.
  • Before transplanting brinjal seedlings, dip the tops of the seedlings in a solution of 10 ml of 30% dimethoate per 10 liters of water.
  • To prepare vegetable seedlings, sow seeds on a bed.
  • Flower crops such as marigolds should be cultivated.
