Mustard

sap-sucking spotted pest

  • There may be a possibility of sap-sucking spotted pest in the mustard crop at this time, hence, to control it, if seen, spray 800 ml of chloropyriphos or dimethoate in 500 to 600 liters of water per hectare and spray it.

Wheat

Seed Varieties

  • For sowing of late sown wheat, Select improved varieties like – HD 3271, DB.W. 71, D.B.W. 316, P.B.W.316, Raj 3765 and W.H.1021 etc

Sowing

  • sow after treating the seeds and due to low temperature the germination of seeds will reduce, hence increase the quantity of seeds by 20% and sow.

Irrigation

  • In wheat crop sown on time, do the first irrigation 21 days after sowing and after that, control weeds after 30 to 35 days.

Weed Control

  • To control weeds of broad leaf and narrow leaf, use Clodinofoc (400 grams) and Metsulfuran (20 grams) per hectare. Make a solution in 400 to 500 liters of water and spray.

Chickpea

Caterpillars

  • There may be a possibility of caterpillar in the chickpea crop at this time, hence keep a constant watch and if caterpillar is seen, spray Trizophos 750 ml solution in 500 to 600 liters of water to control it

Pigeon Pea

Sowing

  • Harvest the mature pigeon pea crop and prepare the fields by ploughing so that wheat sowing can be done quickly.

Potato

Early Blight

  • There may be a possibility of early blight disease with round shaped brown spots in the potato crop, hence keep a constant watch and to control it, if it appears, spray Mancozeb 1.5 kg per hectare by dissolving it in 500 to 600 liters of water

  • If cauliflower and cabbage are harvested from time to time and sent to the market, if there is delay in harvesting then the quality of cauliflower and cabbage may get spoiled and their quality may be affected.

Leaf curl

  • There may be possibility of leaf curl (Churramurra disease) in tomato at this time, so for its control apply Thiomethaxam 25 W.G. Make a solution of 100 grams of medicine in 500 to 600 liters of water and sprinkle it per hectare.

Brinjal

Shoot and fruit borer

  • To protect against stem borer and fruit borer fly in brinjal crop, pluck the affected fruits and destroy them by applying medicine in the ground and if the crop is affected in large quantities then apply Spinosad 48 EC. 1 ml. Make a solution of the medicine per 4 liters of water and spray

Chillies

Leaf curl

  • There may be possibility of leaf curl (Churramurra disease) in chilli at this time, so for its control apply Thiomethaxam 25 W.G. Make a solution of 100 grams of medicine in 500 to 600 liters of water and sprinkle it per hectare.

Citrus

Canker

  • There may be a possibility of canker disease in lemon and orange seasonal fruits in the expected season, hence to control it, if seen, spray 1 percent Bordomixture or spray Vilitax-50 by making a solution of 2 grams per liter of water

Guava

Irrigation

  • Clean the trays of newly planted fruit plants and irrigate them as per requirement

Termites

  • If termites are seen, whitewash the stems of the plants with lime
