Wheat

Crown Root

  • Keeping in view of weather conditions, farmers are advised to 21 days old
  • wheat crop is at Crown Root Initiation stage which is a critical stage. After
  • insuring optimum moisture broadcast of first dose of nitrogen should be done

Weed Control

  • Recommended for weed management in wheat Metsulfuron methyl 20%WP@ 1gm/acer in 21 days old wheat crop.

Mustard

Thinning

  • Thinning should be done for proper plant to plant spacing. Plant to plant spacing should be maintained at 12-15 cm by thinning

Irrigation

  • In view of weather condition during next five days; farmers are advised to irrigate the mustard crop which is about 30-35 days old

Fertilizer Management

  • After insuring optimum moisture broadcasting of nitrogen should be done

Aphids

  • Looking to the past cloudy weather condition the incidence of aphids in mustard, radish and beans is likely to be increase, so farmers are advised to keep keen watch on the crop and if the infestation is above ETL spray Imidacloprid @ 0.5 ml/liter of water

  • Nipping upper stem of gram plant for more branching at branching stage (30-35 DAS) of crop

Caterpillars

  • Use ‘T’ shaped bird posture @ 20-25 & Pheromone traps @ 8 trap per acre to control of caterpillars in early stage. If attack is increasing (2-3 caterpillar in one meter row) spray traizofos @ 800 ml/ha

Root rot

  • Early sown gram crop is showing the outbreak of root rot disease Therefore, farmers' are advised that to continue observe the crop. For control of the disease drench the crop with Ridomil 1.5 to 2.0 grams per liter of around the roots.
