Paddy
Main field Preparation
- Prepare main field and transplant seedlings based on water availability.
- Apply 10 kg N as a top dressing at 3rd and 6th weeks after sowing and during panicle initiation stage.
Weeds Control
- For control of weeds in paddy, spray 100 ml Bispyribac Sodium 10 SC as Post emergent per acre during 20-30 days after transplanting.
Brown planthopper
- For controlling Brown planthopper Spray Imidachloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.5 ml or Thiamethoxam 25 WP @ 0.7 g or Chloropyriphos 20 EC @ 2 ml per liter of water.
Okra
Flowering stage - Fruit borer
- For effective control of fruit borer take up spraying of Quinlophos 2 ml per litre of water.
Chillies
Rabi Crops
Soil and water conservation Sowing
- For sowing rabi crops prepare the land with compartment bunds and furrows for in-situ soil-moisture conservation.
- Due to cloudy weather, possibility of pest and disease build up will be more. Take prophylactic measures depending on the crop.
- Drizzling rainfall has been received at many places in the during the previous week and light rainfall is expected during the next 5 days. So prepare contour bunds and cultivate the land across the slope.
- Split application of fertilizer may be done for crops like (Maize, cotton & other long durated crops).
Pigeon Pea
Flowering and pod filling stage
- It is advisable to give two protective irrigations during critical stages like flowering and pod filling stage.
- Spray two times pulse magic, first spray at 50% flowering and second spray after 15 days @ 10 gram per 1 liter of water.
- Nipping can be done in pigeon pea at 50 days old crop for enhancing branches and improving yield.
Sterility mosaic
- Sterility mosaic disease was noticed in some of the area, so farmers are advised to uproot the SMD affected plants and simultaneously spray the crop with Docofol @ 2.5 ml/litre of water.
Helicoverpa armigera
- Spray Chlorantranilipriolec 18.5 SC at 0.15 ml or Flubendiamide 20 WG @ 0.075 ml or Emamectin Benzoate 05 S.G @ 0.2 gram or Indoxacarb14.5 S @ 0.3 ml per one liter of water wherever Helicoverpa armigera is noticed in pigeopea.
Leaf webber
- Spray chloripyrifos at 1 ml per liter of water or Profenofos 2 ml per one litre of water for controlling Leaf webber.
Urea
- Take up spraying of 19:19:19 dissolved in one liter of water. This will helps the crop to grow profusely.
Cotton
Pod borer
- Late sown Cotton: Use 2 pheromone traps per acre for observing pod borer activity in 50 m distance. If pest infestation observed spray 1 g Methomyl in 1 litre of water.
Urea
- Spray two times 2% urea or 1% potassium nitrate at 80 days after sowing in 20 days interval.
Flowering and boll formation stage
- Apply 20 kg urea and 10 kg potash per acre during flowering and boll formation stage in cotton crop for improving boll size and number of bolls per plant.
Red leaves
- To mange reddening of leaves take up spraying of 19:19:19 and MgSo4 both 10g dissolved in one litre of water. The spray has to be repeated at 85-90 DAS and 105-110 DAS.
Pest Control
- Spray Imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.3 ml per litre of water.
Thrips and green leaf hopper
- Spray Fipronil 5 SC @ 250 ml in 250 L of water for one acre controlling thrips and green leaf hopper during early stage of cotton crop.
Mirid bug
- Spray 25 SC Buprofenzin @ 1.0 ml in one liter of water controlling mealy bugs in late sown cotton Spray Pyrithiobac sodium 10 EC @ 375 ml in 300 L of water for one acre at 20-25 days after sowing Spray 50% EC Profenofos at 2% (2 ml per litre of water) for controlling mirid bug in cotton.
Flower drop
- Spray1 ml Planofix in 4.5 liter of water wherever flower drop occurs in cotton.
Sunflower
Sucking pest control
- Due to cloudy atmosphere sucking pest incidence will be more. Farmers are advised to spray 0.25 ml Imidacloprid 17.8 SL or 1.5 ml Oxydemeton methyl in one litre of water.
Fertilizers
- Apply ZnSO4 @ 4 kg/acre along with fertilizers for improving yield in sunflower.
Powdery mildew control
- For management of powdery mildew spray Difenoconazole 25 EC @ 1 ml/lit or Miclobutanil-10 @ 0.5 gm/lit of water.
Necrosis control
- For management of sunflower Necrosis spray super confidor 200 SL 0.5 ml or Flonicamide 50 WG @ 0.02 ml/l of water.
Groundnut
Flowering stage
- Where ever crop reached 45-60 days old, farmers are advised to go for second earthing-up.
- Apply 5 kg nitrogen per acre during flowering stage as supplementary dose.
Leaf minor
- For control of leaf minor spray 0.2% Carbaryl 50 WP 2ml Dimethoate 30 EC in one litre of water.
Spodoptera
- For control of Spodoptera in groundnut spray 0.2 gm Emamectin benzoate 5 SG or 2.0 ml quinolphos 25 EC per litre of water in the evening time.
Weeds
- To manage the weeds in 40 days groundnut crop take up one inter cultivation operation and one hand weeding.
Flowering stage - Leaves redness
- Apply 1% Potash during flowering stage for controlling reddening of leaf margin.
Maize
Sowing
- Spray Mancozeb @2.5 g/litre water at three different intervals after sowing.
Root grub
- For control of root grub, take up drenching of Chlorpyriphos 10 ml/litre of water. Use 250 liters of spray solution for one acre.
Fall armyworm
- For the control of fall armyworm spray 0.3 g Imamectine benzoate per litre of water.
Stem borer
- If stem borer is noticed – apply 7.5 kg Carbofuron 3% Granules per hectare in leaf oral.
Cob worm
- For control of cob worm in Maize, spray 4g Carboryl 50% per liter of water.
Weeds
- Spray 80% 2,4-D Sodium salt at 0.5 kg per acre during 20-25 days of maize crop for controlling broad lived weeds.
Livestock
Fodder
- By feeding leguminous and non-leguminous fodder in the ration of 1:3 respectively to get quality and good quantity of milk.
- Animals are protected from the problems associated with excess grazing. Since the green fodder is available in plenty. So mix the fodder with essential salts in the feeding of the animals. Due care should be taken to keep grazing pastures clean. The Floor and walls of sheds should be cleaned and coated with lime solution.
- Vaccinate (ET vaccine) sheep and goats against Enterotoximia.
Brinjal
Fruiting stage - Shoot and Fruit borer
- Spray carbaryl 4 g or 2 ml malathion or 2 ml quinalphos per liter of water. Wherever shoot and Fruit borer noticed in brinjal. This spray can be repeated after 15 days.
- For control of fruit borer take up spraying of Emamectin Benzoate at 5% S.G at 0.2 gm per litre of water.
Tomato
Inter crop
- Grow radish as intercrop (2:1) for controlling fruit borer in tomato.
Powdery mildew
- For control of Powdery mildew in Tomato Spray 3 g water soluble Sulphur per litre of water.
Suitable Variety
- Medium size and red coloured variety Pusa Ruby is suitable for rainfed conditions.
Leaf curl
- To manage leaf curl disease, take up spraying of 1 ml Acetamaprid dissolved in 4 liter of water.
Sucking pest control
- To manage sucking pests, take up spraying of 1.75 ml Dimethate, dissolved in one liter of water.
