Paddy

Weed Control

  • In SRI method control weed through cono-weeder, 3 to 4 times in 10-15 days interval.
  • 2. In transplanted rice spraying of Butachlor(50% a.i.) @ 600 g/250 litre of water should be done at 5 to 6 DAT and in 20 to 25 days standing crop apply 2,4-D(80%) @ 250 g/250 litre of water solution per acre and maintain water in field.

Top dressing of Urea

  • Those farmers who has cultivated hybrid rice with SRI method, top dressing of rest dose of urea in two split doses @ 80 kg ha-1 at an interval of 3 rd and 6th and 9th week after mannual weeding or inter culturing with cono weeder.
  • 2. In upland rice top dressing of rest dose of urea in two split doses @ 50 kg ha-1 at an interval of 3rd, 6th and 9th week after weeding.
  • 3. In medium and improved varieties top dressing of rest dose of urea in two split doses @ 35 kg ha-1 at an interval of 2nd and 4th week after weeding.
  • 4. In late varieties top dressing of rest dose of urea in three split doses @ 35 kg ha-1 at an interval of 3rd, 6th and 9th week after weeding.

Gall midge

  • To control Gall midge in rice crop, apply Phorate 10 g @ 8 kg per hectare.

Case worm and Stem borer

  • To control Case worm and Stem borer crop, spray Quinolphos @ 1.5 ml per lt. of water.

Blast and Yellow spot

  • Blast & Yellow spot disease of rice- To control these disease spraying of Carbendazim 0.1% or Tricyclazole (75 WP) 0.06% per lt. of water.

Sheath blight

  • Sheath blight-Drained the paddy field and top dressing of extra dose of Potash @ 30 kg ha-1 and spraying of Hexaconazole (Kantof) 0.2% or Validamycin 0.25% solution.

Maize

Stem borer and leaf roller

  • After 15 to 20 DAS application of granular insecticide Furadon, 10 to 15 granul in the apical leaf and 3 to 4 gm around a plant to control stem borer and leaf roller. Weeding, interculturing and earthing should be done on 30 days standing crop and top dressing of urea @ 35 kg/acre and facilitate drainage channel in the field.

Suitable Varieties

Land Preparation

  • Prepare land with 3 to 4 ploughing, apply FYM @ 10 ton Half dose of Urea @ 15 Kg, full dose of DAP @ 130 Kg and Half dose of MOP @ 50 Kg/ha, Thimate G @ 10 kg/ha before last ploughing and level the land.

Planting

  • Spraying of chlorpyriphos insecticide @ 1 lt/ha on soil surface. For planting open the furrow 60 cm and make ridge at a height of 20 cm and 20 cm width in regular interval and take 83000 pieces of 20 cm cutting per hectare and treated with 0.2% Metasystox or Monocrotophos or phenitriyothian for 10 min and planting distance should be maintained 20 cm and depth 5 to10 cm.

Urea

  • Should be done in upland with 3 ploughing, apply FYM @ 2 ton before last ploughing and level the land. Open the farrow row to row distance 30 cm and apply Urea @ 17 Kg, SSP @ 100 Kg and MOP @ 14 Kg/acre.

Seed Treatment

  • Treat the seed with Bavistin @ 2/kg gm, after half an hour treating the seed with Emidachlorpid 3 ml/50 ml of water and dry it in shed and for better production seed also should be treated with Rhizobium and PSB before sowing.

Horse Gram

Suitable Varieties

  • Sowing of Improved & short duration varieties
  • Birsa kulthi-1 (95 days)
  • V.L.G-19 (100 days) should be done in upland.

Land Preparation

  • At the time of land peparation apply FYM @ 2 tons/hectare, DAP 100 kg and Potash 34 kg/hectare or NPK (12:32:16) 150 kg or Suphla (15:15:15) 125 kg/hectare before last ploughing.

Sowing

  • Apply Ammonium phasphate sulphate (20:20:0:13) 100 kg/hectare at the time of sowing.

Seed Treatment

  • For one hectare land 20 kg of seed is treated with 40 gm Bavistin or Thiram and before sowing seed should be also treated with Rhizobium culture 100 gm (In one litre of water add 100 g molases and heat it to make solution, after cooling, add the culture and mixe it throughly and after that seed should be treated and dried in shed for half an hour).

Distance

  • Maintain row to row distance at 30 cm and planting distance at 8 cm with 5 cm of sowing depth.

Do's

  • To prevent from Diarrhoea due to excessive feeding of green grass, animal should give Neblon powder also with antibiotic like Fazol or Nitrofurazolidone etc after keeping suggestion with veterinarian.
  • To prevent from liver fluke, (Symptom –Anorexia,Diarrhoea and swelling of brisket region) the cattle should give Oxyclozanide (10-15 mg/kg body weight) or Rufoxinide (7.5 mg/kg body weight)after suggestion of veterinaria
  • For treatment of cattle affected with Babesiosis (Symtom- High fever(106ºF), Red water urine, Pyrexia, Anaemia) the onwer should treat it with Barenil (2- 3.5 mg/kg body weight) and vitamin B-complex with liver extract after suggestion with veterinarian.To prevent from Ecto parasite on cattle,bath them with Butox or Cypermathrine @ 2 ml/litre of water.

Fish Rearing

  • To get good production apply FYM @ 4 quantal, DAP @ 8 kg, Lime @ 50 Kg per month per acre and mustard or ground nut cake + rice grain dust (equal proportion) @ 2-3 kg per day per acre for 3 month.

Sowing

  • To get good production of milk cultivate fodder crop Jowar, Seed rate 40 kg/ha ,Inter cropping with maize and cowpea(seed rate Maize 20 kg + cowpea15 kg with 2:1 row, preneial crop hybrid napier -40000 nodes/ha.
