Sugarcane
Do's
- Drain out excess water from the field.
White fly
- There is a chance to whitefly infestation in water stagnated areas. To control spray monocrotophos @ 1.6 ml/l or dimethoate @ 1.7 ml/l for two times in 10 days intervals and while spaying ensure that entire the plant should wet.
Wilt disease
- Due to ensuing rains there is a chance of water stagnation in field that will lead to wilt disease. To control mix 20 kg of Trichoderma asperellum culture with 1 tonne FYM and apply in field.
Tillering stage - Urea
- Apply 35 kg of Urea as second topdressing for the crop of 60 days age by utilizing the ensuing rainfall.
Paddy
Nursery to Tillering stage - Stem borer and Hispa
- Present prevailing weather conditions are favourable for stem borer and Hispa infestation. While transplanting remove the tip of seedlings and to control spray chlorpyrifos @ 2 ml/ l or Acephate @ 1.5 g/l or Cartap hydrochloride 2 g/l.
Tillering stage - Blast
- Go for spraying with Isoprothioline @ 1.5 ml/l.
Sheath blight
- Spray hexaconazole @ 2 ml/l or propiconazole @ 1 ml/l. while spaying ensure that base of the plant should wet.
- Keep field bunds weed free.
Urea
- Apply 25-30 kg of Urea as topdressing for the crop of 30-35 days age by utilizing the ensuing rainfall.
Maize
Tasseling stage - Banded leaf & sheath blight
- There is a chance to occurrence of banded leaf and sheath blight infestation in water stagnated areas. Drain out excess water from the field. To control spray Propiconazole @ 1 ml/l.
Tasseling stage - Fall army worm
- Spray Emamectin benzoate @ 0.4 g/l or chlorantraniliprole @ 0.4 ml/l.
Urea
- Apply 30 kg of Urea and 15 kg of MOP as second topdressing for the crop of 50-55 days age.
Mesta
Vegetative stage - Foot and stem rot
- Drain out excess water from the field.
- Drenching with Metalaxyl @ 2 g/l.
Finger Millet
Tillering stage - Blast
- Go for spraying with Carbendazim @ 1 g/l.
- Keep field bunds weed free.
Sesamum
Pod development stage
- Drain out excess water from the field.
