Groundnut
Seed treatment
- Farmers who are taking up early Kharif groundnut should select varieties like Narayani, Dharani, K-9, ICGV-9114 and varieties like Grishma, Dheeraj, Nityaharitha, K-6 where availability of water is there and should go for seed treatment with Mancozeb 3 g/kg or Tebukonazole @ 1 g/kg of seed.
- Plant population should be maintained at 33 plants/meter Farmers are advised to grow 5-6 rows of sorghum or bajra as border crop which will protect the main crop from vectors causing viral diseases.
- Farmers are advised to go for sowing only after receipt of sufficient rainfall and enough moisture is available in the soil.
Mango
Fruit fly
- The present weather conditions are highly favorable for occurrence of fruit fly in mango orchards.
- To control erect pheramon traps or IIHR traps @8-10/acre at 3-6 feet from ground level.
Paddy
Seed treatment
- The farmers who are taking up paddy nurseries are advised to take up seed treatment compulsory.
- For dry seed treatment treat 1 kg of seed with 3 g. of carbendazim and sow the seed in the nursery after 24 hrs.
- Similarly, for wet seed treatment soak the seed for 24 hrs in the solution prepared with carbendazim @ 1 g./kg of seed per liter of water and incubate for 24 hrs before sowing in the nursery.
Leaf folder
- The present weather conditions are congenial for leaf folder attack in paddy which is at nursery to tillering stage.
- To control spray cartaphydrochloride @ 2 g/L of water
Cotton
Sucking pests
- The present weather conditions are favourable for sucking pests in cotton.
- To control spray fipronil @ 2 ml./L (or) profenophos @ 2 ml./L of water.
Citrus
Canker
- The present weather conditions are favourable for citrus canker in citrus.
- To control spray copper oxychloride @ 3 g./L of water + Streptocyclin @ 0.1 g./L of water.
Butterfly
- The present weather conditions are favourable for citrus butterfly in citrus.
- To control spray Coragen @ 0.3ml./L of water (or) Flubendamide @ 0.25 ml../L of water.
