Section 2: Accidental Death Insurance

(Coverage as per Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana - PMSBY)

Details of the Scheme:

The scheme will be a one year cover

Insurance renewal should be done every year

Accidental death or disability due to an accident.

Scope of coverage:

Under PMFBY/WBCIS Scheme, all farmers having the age between 18 to 70 years, are eligible for insurance.

The farmer would be eligible to join the scheme through savings bank account only. Aadhar, considered as the primary KYC for the bank account.

Enrolment Modality / Period:

Insurance cover (For one year) from 01-June of present year to 31st May of next year under PMFBY Scheme.

Premium:

Under PMFBY scheme the premium of Rs 12/- per annum, will be deducted from the account holder’s savings bank account through the ‘auto debit’ facility.

Benefits :

Section -3: Life Insurance

PRADHAN MANTRI JEEVAN JYOTI BIMA YOJANA (PMJJBY) :

Savings Bank Account Holder (Jhan - Dhan Bank Account) only

Enrolment :

Insurance cover (For one year) from 01-June of present year to 31st May of next year under PMFBY Scheme.

Benefits:

Death Cover for each member: Rs. 2,00,000

Premium:

The premium is Rs.330/- and deducted from member’s Savings Bank Account.

Section 4: Building and Contents Insurance (Fire & Allied Perils)

Insurance - Damage of "building and its interior parts"

a) Fire, Lighting, Explosion of gas in domestic appliances,

b) Bursting and overflowing of water tanks, apparatus or pipes,

c) Aircraft or articles dropped therefrom,

d) Riot, Strike, or Malicious damage

e) Earthquake, (Fire and / or Shock) Subsidence and Landslide (including Rockslide) damage

f) Flood, inundation, storm, tempest, typhoon, hurricane, Tornado or Cyclone.

g) Impact damage

h) Bush Fire

Maximum insurance coverage:

For a building upto Rs.50,000 and for building interiors Rs.20,000.

Section 5: Agriculture Pumpset Insurance (Upto 10 HP)

The Agricultural pump sets(electrical and diesel) capacity upto 10 hp

Scope of Cover:

1) Fire & lightning

2) Burglary (due to violent forcible entry provided the pump set is kept in a locked enclosure).

3) Mechanical / electrical breakdown

4) Riots, Strike, malicious damage

Enrolment of Farmers:

Complete details about Agriculture pump set, serial number, make, model and specifications.

The Sum insured capped up to Rs.25,000.

Agriculture pump sets can Covered upto 7 year.

Section 6: Agricultural Tractor Insurance

Cover against loss or damage to the Agriculture Tractor.
